DONKEYS 

Spread across the island lives a native donkey breed, the "Burro Majorero", which is threatened with extinction, but there is now a large group of people dedicated to raising and caring for these beautiful and lovable animals.

 

The ancestors of today's donkeys were probably brought along by the conquerors from Morocco in the 15th century.
