The general emergency telephone number is 112.  Operators speak several languages.

EMERGENCIES:

The nearest hospital is Hospital General de Fuerteventura Virgen de la Peña - about 15 minutes’ drive from the resort.
The emergency department (Urgencias) is open 24 hours every day.

CLINICS

​A number of private qualified surgeries operate within the resort and fees will be payable upon consultation.  Invoices should be requested for travel insurance claims.

 

There are no state-run clinics in Caleta de Fuste.  Anybody in need of urgent medical attention is advised to call 112 or visit the hospital in Puerto Del Rosario.  Patients are required to produce an EHIC card (European Health Insurance) card or equivalent documentation on arrival.

PHARMACIES

​These can make up prescriptions issued by state or private doctors and can provide over-the-counter medication.
