GOATS
Goats supply milk for the production of the world-famous goat cheese of Fuerteventura, as in ancient times, and are partly kept in farms (so-called granjas) or half wild. Every goat, even the seemingly wild ones that you often see grazing beside the roads, has its owner. Once a year, these goats are rounded up by the farmers at the so-called "apañadas“, the offspring assigned to the respective owners, provided with appropriate ear tags and then released again for grazing.
